Photography got its hooks in me early — high school, a darkroom, and the mysterious process of watching an image appear on a blank sheet of paper.

My love for the outdoors came later, there's something about earning a remote vista on foot, with everything you need on your back, that no road or trailhead can replicate.

Almost all of my adventures happen in the Eastern Sierra Mountains. Living in Southern California, it's practically in my backyard — a few hours and you're in another world entirely. Granite, alpine lakes, big open sky. I keep going back, and it keeps giving me something worth photographing.
